Oh, the agony of defeat. Poor Melissa. She had to suffer the realization that I (Jeff) am a better athlete than her.
You see, she challenged me to a race. We had been visiting Vashon Island and were waiting for the ferry to get back home. The deal was pretty simple. Just race from one point to an orange cone. It might have been 30-40 yards or so.
